Star-Struck

This month has been the month of meeting some of my favorite Iranian movie stars. Then again, this is the month that I moved to Los Angeles, home of Hollywood. I guess I should be used to this lifestyle.

In any case, the first time I saw Shahab Hosseini, I could not be more star-strucked! I couldn't help it, but I was physically shaking, heart beating and feeling a bit woozy like I am about to faint from excitement. I tried acting normal, like this is just another person but finally, I couldn't control myself and finally looked at him (with I bet a very creepy look on my face) and told him: "I'm sorry but I really love you. Like I adore you. I have seen all your shows and movies and love love you!" And being the perfect gentleman and absolutely modest guy that he is, he looked down as if he's not actually the KING of Iranian cinema and replied shyly: "Thank you. You're so sweet." By the way, this guy had just woken up and was trying to hide his perfect body behind the door (I don't want to go into detail for fear of revealing his whereabouts in any way) but we were in that kind of situation.

He could not be more perfect. We hung out a bit later, him, his really talkative director friend, two of my friends, and I. We had watermelon and talked about the difficult visa situation for Iranians as if this is something perfectly normal to do. After a while, (I think largely due to the fact that this guy is one of the most modest guys you will find) it did feel pretty normal. I kept forgetting that this is the very guy that for years I have been crushing on and daydreaming about. Every time he talked though or looked my way, I couldn't help being star-strucked all over again. Now, I've seen him 3 times since he has been here and I know I will see him again but every time, honest to God, I'm star-strucked all over again. And it's all I can do not to jump him or be at his feet and worship him. I wonder how I would react when I meet my all-time favorite actor (Shahrukh Khan) or my all-time favorite singer (Justin Timberlake). I think I would probably either have a heart attack and die on the spot or at least faint right?

In any case, tonight, I'm going to meet another really favorite actor of mine, (Bahram Radan). Now you have to understand that he's a bit younger than Shahab though still much older than I and perhaps the same amount or a hundred times more hunky. I can just eat him all up in one sitting quite honestly. This one I have daydreamed and actually dreamed about much more in a much more "hot" setting! And in this case, it is no secret that he is IN LA now!! And he is going to be in attendance of his new film playing here "Barcode" as a "Red-Carpet Premier Event". He had his first red-carpet premier event last night in Beverly Hills and I am not sure that one was marvelous because it was literally in the heart of Hollywood and all the other stars American or not.

But tonight, he will be having his next Red-Carpet premier event in Encino and being the absolutely fanatic that I am, I have purchased tickets to this show with my husband since tickets became available. I am so excited and am pondering how Star-Strucked I will be this time!
