Fiction-writing Update

48 pages.

I'm getting a lot of ideas from different shows and I'm understanding how the process of my writing have been much different than what I expected originally. At the moment, I feel that it is essential to write the story, like the plot, first. Once I can give an "ending" to my story to complete the plot, then I can go back and edit and add details and/or replace certain details about certain characters and/or certain timelines. During my editing process, I can also decide how I want to break down the stories into chapters and what each chapter should be named or whether they need to be named etc...

One thing I have learned though is this: I need to write, everyday. If I don't write one day or if I don't spend enough time writing one day, I feel the following day somehow I need to re-familiarize myself with the story and get back to its rhythm and flow to be able to fully engage myself and finally continue writing the story.

There is something I am certain about though, compared to everything else I've done in my life, this--writing a story has been most enjoyable in its process. I don't even know if the end product will be as enjoyable to have. I mean, once it's done it will be done and on to the next project of course but this..the journey of writing the story has been most delightful for me and I know there's a long way to go of course and I am truly looking forward to it. This time, I don't want to stop writing. This time, I want to write and never stop.

This time, I will write and never stop.
