I'm sure you've heard this phrase hundreds of times or at least thought of it yourself. "Time goes by fast." It is a strange concept. When you are trying to watch time, because you are looking forward to the next day or the next hour or even the next month, time goes by slowly or perhaps in the same way...but it's like the pot that you watch never boils right? Then there's the time when you have to get something done and you are stressed out by time, it feels like time just flies.
Just this morning, I woke up at 7. After brushing my teeth and washing my face, I found my laptop and blogger site. I started to read a bit of my book first to get some ideas or inspired about an idea to write when after reading a few pages, I saw that the time is 7:50 and I still haven't written my post of the day. Then I knew what my topic can be. I have seen this happen multiple times and I am convinced that perhaps our energy of stress causes time to go quicker or maybe it's just all in our minds.
I've always been amazed at the concept of time and always wonder what if time just stops one day? Not my clock but really time. The determinants of time include the sun and the earth turning on its axis--we all know this from Science 101 so what if the earth just stops moving? Or what if there is a delay? Will life just stop? Will people decide to have their own night and day despite the situation or people will just stop living? And which one would be worse--being stuck at night or day? It is rather frightening to think about that really.
It's interesting that we, as humans, sometimes consider these fallacies even. Perhaps it's because of our wild imaginations or the movies we see--which are due to other creative people's wild imaginations! In a way, it's funny. I can just imagine the big guy [God] looking at us and thinking...are you that small that you think my system may have a glitch as many of your created systems do? Because it's true. We have had our systems fail again and again throughout history that led to wars and rebellions by the people, but God is the only One that is perfect and the truth is, we can't even fathom it.
